The structure of a change program is based on Prosci\u00ae’s ADKAR model.<\/p>

The ADKAR model for change management consists of five steps:<\/p>

  1. Awareness<\/strong> \u2013 Create understanding of the ‘why’ behind the change by clearly communicating the necessity, risks of not changing, and the urgency, ideally through senior management.<\/li>
  2. Desire<\/strong> \u2013 Engage employees by addressing what the change means for them, with supervisors responding to concerns and questions.<\/li>
  3. Knowledge<\/strong> \u2013 Provide employees with the knowledge needed for the transition and the new skills required, making training more effective.<\/li>
  4. Ability<\/strong> \u2013 Ensure support in daily tasks to successfully handle the new situation, such as time, coaching, or a learning platform.<\/li>
  5. Reinforcement<\/strong> \u2013 Anchor the change by celebrating successes and offering additional training to prevent regression to old practices.<\/li><\/ol>
