And it makes sense, when everything shifts: processes, systems, people, there\u2019s a natural need for something to hold on to. Especially during digital transformations, leaders look for ways to stay on course.<\/p><p data-start=\"1550\" data-end=\"1699\">What I also often see is the instinct to tighten control.<br data-start=\"1607\" data-end=\"1610\" \/>More checklists. More meetings. Extra reports.<br data-start=\"1656\" data-end=\"1659\" \/>All in the name of \u201ccreating structure.\u201d<\/p><p data-start=\"1701\" data-end=\"1750\">But <strong data-start=\"1705\" data-end=\"1749\">control doesn\u2019t actually lead to control<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1752\" data-end=\"1803\">In fact, this approach often triggers resistance:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1928\"><p data-start=\"1806\" data-end=\"1928\">\u201cI don\u2019t feel any freedom.\u201d<br data-start=\"1833\" data-end=\"1836\" \/>\u201cMy manager micromanages everything.\u201d<br data-start=\"1875\" data-end=\"1878\" \/>\u201cWe no longer have time for real conversations.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote><hr data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"1933\" \/><h3 data-start=\"1935\" data-end=\"1963\"><strong data-start=\"1939\" data-end=\"1963\">So What <em data-start=\"1949\" data-end=\"1955\">Does<\/em> Help?<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"2113\">Real control comes from understanding what\u2019s really going on.<br data-start=\"2026\" data-end=\"2029\" \/>Not just in plans or content, but among people. Within the team. Beneath the surface.<\/p><ul data-start=\"2115\" data-end=\"2217\"><li data-start=\"2115\" data-end=\"2139\"><p data-start=\"2117\" data-end=\"2139\">What drives someone?<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2140\" data-end=\"2174\"><p data-start=\"2142\" data-end=\"2174\">What\u2019s blocking collaboration?<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"2175\" data-end=\"2217\"><p data-start=\"2177\" data-end=\"2217\">What does the team need to move forward?<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2219\" data-end=\"2396\">That takes more than steering on output.<br data-start=\"2259\" data-end=\"2262\" \/>It requires slowing down, listening, reflecting.<br data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2313\" \/>Observing, without judgment.<br data-start=\"2340\" data-end=\"2343\" \/>And having someone who can make that dynamic visible.<\/p><hr data-start=\"2398\" data-end=\"2401\" \/><h3 data-start=\"2403\" data-end=\"2445\"><strong data-start=\"2407\" data-end=\"2445\">From Tight Control to Real Insight<\/strong><\/h3><p data-start=\"2447\" data-end=\"2649\">That\u2019s the role I often take: not a \u201cchange boss,\u201d but a <strong data-start=\"2504\" data-end=\"2513\">guide<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"2514\" data-end=\"2517\" \/>Someone who observes, asks questions, connects patterns.<br data-start=\"2573\" data-end=\"2576\" \/>And when needed: uses data to make behavior and team interaction visible.<\/p><p data-start=\"2651\" data-end=\"2713\">Yes, there <em data-start=\"2662\" data-end=\"2667\">are<\/em> ways to make those invisible layers tangible.
